Return to Linothorax pageLinothorax - build enquiriesThe basic linothorax design on these pages has been created from 5th Century illustrations and is a reasonable interpretation of both the style, fit and build of a period piece. All have been built for reenactment purposes and thus use modern adhesive and modern paints, although the remaining materials are linen, leather and brass. All will set hard when cold (thus be stiff - evidence of which can be seen in the pictures) and become plyable and 'soft' when warmed with body heat. |
